Cleveland Museum of Art
For The Benefit Of All The People, Forever
Created to reinforce the museum’s guiding mission, the dedication “For the benefit of all the people, forever” was spoken by Jeptha Wade III on the day of the dedication of the land where the museum now stands. The land was being given with the expectation that the museum would remain free, for all to experience, learn from and enjoy – forever.
The museum’s message of inclusiveness, acceptance, and international representation is one that will never be forgotten, and was worthy of celebrating and reiterating on this their centennial year.
